Lavionic Part-IS Applicability Checker

Answer up to three questions about the approval of your organisation, an exclusion and your risk assessment. The checker shows whether Part-IS applies, under which regulation, from which date, and whether the derogation of point .200(e) is possible.

v0.1 · 2026-10-24 · HTML · works offline

What you enter

  • The approval or role of your organisation, for example Part-145, Part-CAMO, an air operator, a design or production organisation under Part 21, an aerodrome operator or a ground handling organisation.
  • Whether the exclusion of Article 2 for that type of organisation applies, for example a Part-145 organisation that maintains only aircraft under Part-ML.
  • Whether a documented information security risk assessment shows no information security risk to aviation safety.

What you get

  • Whether Part-IS applies: Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/203 (Part-IS.I.OR) or Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1645 (Part-IS.D.OR), with the point of Article 2.
  • The date from which it applies.
  • Whether the derogation of point .200(e) is possible, and what stays with it: reporting under Regulation (EU) No 376/2014 and the protection of the information you receive from other organisations.
  • A figure of the three checks: scope, exclusion and derogation.
  • An edit panel: change one answer and the result follows at once.

Online or offline

Use it online in your browser, or download it once as one HTML file. The file opens in Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox, works without an internet connection and sends no data anywhere.

The checker reads Article 2 and point .200(e) only, and it does not judge the risk assessment. The competent authority decides on the scope and on the derogation.

The checker is an aid, not a means of compliance.
